WITH JULIE IN PARIS, Day 8, Saturday, June 11, 2011

It was a beautiful day, so we did a lot of walking. One highlight was the collection of Monet's paintings at Musee d'Orangerie. The Tuillerie gardens were lovely. We checked out the Madelaine (and enjoyed the little poodles that posed.  (Only in Paris!) We stopped for signature macaroons at the Laduree tea room and gazed at the Opera (Paris' wedding cake).

We finally found our way to the Louvre-- for the 3rd time! The highlight was "The Death of Sarat" 1793 (radical journalist of the French revolution).

We met John's daughter Julie & family who are in Paris this week for a vacation and enjoyed hot chocolate with them - again - at Angelina's and then a walk through the gardens of the Palais Royale.

Tomorrow is our last day in Paris!!
